Good news!
After a substantial hiatus during COVID times, the Chapter had a nice lunch at "The Mexican" restaurant on Saturday, August 19th. We followed up with a short business meeting and it was agreed that Tim Roberts would take on the role as acting President and Harry Shin would rejoin the Board as Vice President. Ian Marsh will continue his Board position as Secretary/Treasurer.
With unanimous consensus, we agreed to schedule additional future activities, commencing with a Chapter-hosted Hangar Lunch on Saturday, October 21st, following the Vintage and Experimental Display Day at Hayward Airport. At that time, we will also try to assess interest in future Chapter activities, including Flyouts, parties and Young Eagles. We have a new member that is interested in being Young Eagles Coordinator!
Please mark your calendar for lunch October 21st. More information will be sent out soon.
In the meantime, if you have and suggestions or ideas for the Chapter, please reach out to:

History
Chapter 29 had it's first meeting on June 10, 1995 and received its charter on June 12, 1995. Located in Hayward, California, the Chapter was originally created as an Antique/Classic chapter. In 1999 EAA changed the name of the Antique/Classic division to EAA Vintage Aircraft Association. Although our chapter is a Vintage chapter, our members consist of pilots and non-pilots, singles, couples and families. Our pilots fly homebuilts, warbirds, light sport and production aircraft. You are invited to come to any of our meetings or events (check the calendar). Hope to see you there!
